Nursing Home Doctor Services

At our organization, we prioritize maintaining a strong partnership with Nursing, Allied Health, and personal care teams to ensure timely identification and intervention for our patients' evolving care needs. We visit all facilities on a weekly basis, and often twice weekly, to stay closely engaged with each patient's care journey.

While it is not always possible to see every resident during each visit, we make it a point to discuss every resident's status with the nursing staff to stay informed of their current context and needs.

Our care approach is guided by a standardized model that includes:

• Comprehensive annual health assessments

• Annual medication reviews conducted by a specialised pharmacist

• Quarterly reviews of care plans

• At least two face-to-face consultations with patients every three months

This structured and proactive approach ensures that our patients receive consistent, high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.

• Dr. Angus McDonell can be contacted directly via NursinghomeDr@gmail.com and is directly contactable by Nursing and care staff by phone 24/7.

• Additional consultations can be arranged as required as Dr Angus does not also attend appointment based clinic work.

• Nursing Home Doctor also employs its own dedicated Administration and Nursing staff to facilitate all aspects of Residential Aged Care Facility care.
